I will try to comment on all the 208 submissions in the DPC Cinema challenge. Hope I can make it, because sometimes it's hard for me to make good comments in English. But I'll try. Who wants to join me?

Only two comments so far and one of them is Hidden During Voting. Out of curiosity, why do people vote hidden?

Good challenge - I will try to do the same Elvi.

208 pics in 7 days is about 30 a day.

I understand, gooc. It's a lot of work. I'm trying to do the best I can and hope people will appreciate my comments. I find it difficult to make negative comments, I don't like that at all.

aye ... neither do i, i try to say what would i do in time the photo was taken and how to improve it in postprocessing, as for appreciation i can tell that only 4-5% of comments/critiques get replies, so on 208 entries you/we can expect cca. 10-12 replies

I think they're mainly people who have in the past left a (maybe critical but not rude/against TOS) comment and had the photographer angrily PM them during voting, completely spoiling the anonymity and generally being not very nice to receive.

Others may believe in the principle that comments shouldn't be accompanied with preconceived ideas about the commenters 'validity' - for example, I may put more weight on a positive comment from one of the dpcers I really admire, than from some newbie who takes lots of cat photos (don't hit me please) and says "wow, cool shot" on every vaguely interesting photo. Personally I think most people would dismiss criticism from a baghead more easily than from anyone named.

WoW. I havent recieved even one comment yet(from Anyone at all, not just you guys). Weird. maybe none of you have gotten to mine yet. Yikes. I'd rather you see mine before the really amazing ones are already in your mind. lol
