At DailyAwards.com, I won the blue in the pets category with this photo.

The kitten is my grandson's and he's ecstatic that it won!

This is my first ever win of anything related to my photography and it happens to be my 6th Wedding Anniversary! It just doesn't get any better than this. :)

Let me also congratulate all the other photogs from here who participate on that site who have also ribboned (past, present and future!).

Yep! I won two daily category awards this past week. This site is considerably more friendly to photographers entries than DPC with winning entries every day in a number of categories. But somehow, just doesn't have the thrill of scoring high at DPC!

Yes, it is more photographer friendly with the daily awards. It's a different feel than here, probably for that very reason. There's also alot of competition here for a weekly ribbon which makes it harder and therefore more thrilling to win. I've still got alot to learn before I can achieve ribbon winning status at DPC. But, a win is a win and I was thrilled that it happened on my anniversary! :)

Congrats on that one...

How cool is that...I just an email from them (daily awards) stating I got the Nature Signature Category award for today with my Leafy Sea Dragon.

(I'd link it but I've cleaned out my port as I fade to gray in a couple days here)

I like the format at Daily Awards, it actually encourages skill improvement with the daily category winners. But I like the suspense of DPC's format, too!

I like both formats. DPC encourages you to take new photos weekly while DailyAwards, BetterPhoto.com, (and I'm sure many others) allow you to use older photos. Since I'm usually extremely busy, it can be hard to follow DPC's format. :/
