I have my second shoot set for tomorrow. They love my work but I am not happy with the shadows I get. (See sample below) How do I get rid of that. When I angle my flash up the pictures are under exposed. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!!

If the ceiling isn't too tall, bouce your flash off of there to soften shadows...or if you can boost your ISO even more, try without flash altogether.

I use a flash bracket that puts the flash straight above the lens, and has a camera rotator that rotates the camera keeping the lens right under the flash when flipping it vertical. Mine is a Stroboframe Pro-RL, but there are many other ones out there. I also use a Lightsphere on the flash as well.

I covered an event recently (similar podium speech thing), I was using the SB-800 flash bounced off the celing (about 15 feet high)... had my ISO set to 400 and was using the flash at +1 and 2/3 to get more light.

Try different angles for bouncing the flash .. I had to do a few test shots before I got the light correct without any shadows.
