Ok... So does the Sigma 10-22mm work with the 10d's or not?

I have seen people on the net say they are using the lens with the 10d, but when I see the lens for sale on the net, its listed as an AF mount, equivalent to the EF-S mounts.

Lord knows I don't wanna slap the Sigma on only to hear a nice crunching sound when I open the shutter.

If you're referring to the Sigma 10-20mm f/4.0-5.6 EX DG HSM, then that should fit on your 10D's EF mount just like any other lens. The DG range will fit any DSLR that isn't full frame (I think), which includes the 10D.

However, if you wanna make sure, you could always try out the lens at your local camera store :o)

Yeah, thats a problem. There is only one local camera store in my area. All the others have gone out of business. And the one that is local only sells Promaster lenses. It belongs to an old guy who really doesn't know much about photo technology after 1980 or so.

The closest shop where I could try one out is about 2 hours away! :))

It's probably similar to the Tamron 11-18 and Tokina 12-24 in that they're designed for digital sized sensors but can be used on any EF mount.

Something to be careful about though:

Some people look like they're having problems with it on the 10d.
