I took this picture on a reflex action. I saw her running, panned and shot.

There's something I really like about the picture, part of it is because it shows a bit of that particular girl's personality.

I am wondering if it shows motion like I was hoping. What can I do to make this one better?

It was a tad underexposed (unintentionally, I just barely had time to get the lens cover off for the first shot of the day before this shot happened), so I had to push things up a bit with some levels tweaking. I also increased the angle of the picture, visible at the doorframe to make it look more punchy as opposed to a mistake in leveling.

I am shying away from sharpening it. I am thinking it is better as is, but I still feel that it is missing something...

Can anyone help me put some direction to this motion? Have I made correct decisions here?

Thanks!

Thanks man, I appreciate it.

You are right about her face... I was actually trying to take her face, but she started running and raised her arms up to shield herself.

Kids can be very difficult to photograph at times. Sometimes it turns out.

I think her parents will like it though...

Any word on the specific changes I made to the picture?

Does it need to be brighter? more colorful? Less colorful? more angled?

Thanks again!

Just a bump as I will spend the next 30 minutes doing photo editing before bed.
