For the sake of my husband, I must point out that my username is not split "Rip on, lady!!" but is in fact "Ripon lady" as Ripon is the town I live in in Yorkshire and occasionally I let myself down and act like a lady.

Also my real name is Pauline but I am called Paul by all family and close friends. So when my husband refers to" Paul and I" he has not got a closet secret!!!

Finally I am not married to a car! John is P2JVR but that is actually our car registration because I gave it to him as a present ( Pauline to John V Redding).

~~No I do not do meths either but have been known to sniff the odd board pen by accident! G & T is my usual tipple! Oh and red wine - and tequila - and scotch - and vodka - and.............

Well my name is Jason... friends call me Jay. I was once really drunk walking out of a club once and walked right through a main intersection without looking and bounced off of 2 cars (not that hard though). I got up kept walking and looked back to see why none of my friends that I was with were right behind me.

From that day on the name stuck.



... oh yeah, and I don't do do meth either. :p

Hi! My name states the country that I currently live in. Just ask my neighbors, they wish I had a wall like China around my property to keep in all my citizens and wildlife as this place is often called the Neuferland Zoo, though we are down to hang on, let me count........ 4 dogs + 5 cats + 2 birds + 3 guinea pigs = 14 aminals from 56 so I am recovering. Between the three kids, the two adults who act like kids sometimes and the house in a constant state of repair and/or disrepair the neighbors have annexed my property into it's own country.

My username always used to be TDMENEUF before my son was born but that didn't work after he was born because then he got left out so now on some other sites I'm known as JETMEFUND so he was included. If you can figure either one of those out I'll send you a free 4x6 of any of my pictures that you want!

I'm not an insect either, although in the mornings before coffee I probably look like an alien one.
I picked my username because it reminds me of the ephemeral, rare and beautiful things I want to photograph and... okay, that's a fat lie. I picked it because I had just finished reading a particularly steamy and raunchy novel with a similar title, so at the time I figured, why not?
There might've been some wine involved during that decision. No meth tho'.

David made an angry comment in this thread leading some people to believe that anything I say might be taken seriously. Now I have people PMing me telling me David wants to kick my ass after school. I understood full well it was a joke Ken and I replied in that manner. I don't feel that there was any hostility directed at you. Also I don't believe it was an angry post but more of an informative one geared more towards the simple minds that took the comment and ran with it. I posted this so that the intellectually deprived individuals that chose to assume that your comment might have some validity or be fact, would know otherwise. Some people have very fertile minds in which all you have to do is plant a seed and the rest grows from there. I wasn't upset when I posted this, just amazed at the fact that some thought that there might be some truth to it and had balls enough to PM me to find out.

Forgive me for asking a "stupid" question:

How are we to distinquish between your calling Ken's comment "stupid" (which you say wasn't hostile)and your response to "stupid assumptions" made by those with "shallow minds" (which presumably was intended to be hostile)?

Oh I see how this works. You're not able to distinguish tone or attitude in type written text so that leaves you with nothing but poorly rationalized assumptions. Those assumptions must be right because you really have no way of distinguishing otherwise and you can't be wrong.
And before you go and say maybe I should read my own statement, I did get the joke. It's the ones that e-mailed me that didn't.
I never knew the word "stupid" alone was considered a hostile word. For that matter "shallow minded" either. Those words have been used repeatedly in threads about commenters on challenges. I could see if I would've called him a "stupid b-----d that left an asinine comment" or called people " shallow-minded MF's." That might be construed as hostile. I guess it just depends on who you are as to whether or not you're allowed to use those words.
