I own a web hosting company. Aside from photography, I also paint (digitally and otherwise), and I'm a history buff, specifically WWII, so I read voraciously. I try to contribute to Wikipedia's WWII articles when I can. |

I am Wavelenght's wife and Hannah, Jaden, & Caleb's mom. When I had a paying job I worked as a floral designer (Sam's Club) and a retail manager (Spencer Gifts). I still do floral work from time to time. Away from home most of my time is spent at my church The Salvation Army. (Yep! It's a church! Raise your hand if you knew) I teach the Jr & Sr High Sunday School class as well as a character building program for teenage girls. We also help lead the youth group with a few other crazies who feel called to work with teens. The rest of my time is spent taking & editing pictures of everything. YAY!

Chalk up yet another programmer. :)
Actually, my fancy job title is Senior Software Development Engineer. I started developing software back in the days of DOS, long before Microsoft released Windows 1.0. I suppose that's where the "Senior" part comes from. It must be, because at 50 I'm barely out of my teens. :)
I originally started programming just for the fun of it, so I'm one of those lucky people that really enjoy his profession. I get paid a good salary to indulge in my favorite hobby. In addition, I get to work from my home much of the time (as I am right now), so that's another big plus as I seriously dislike commuting.
One of the many tasks that our software performs is controlling the network bandwidth used by all other applications on the network. Since web browsers (such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc...) are one of the prime consumers of network bandwidth, we need to test our software by browsing. Naturally, I like to load dpchallenge web pages for testing. Therefore, I like to think (and it's actually quite true) that I get paid to browse dpchallenge.com. I'm even getting paid to write this, and I like it! :)

I make specialty leather cases for the Light Emitting Diode Therapeutic industry part-time, and make fractal music on occasion. The rest of my life is spent in "dress rehearsal"...I'm looking for a better part!

I own a small surveillance and security company, where we install and then monitor cctv cameras at shopping centers, power plants and transportation sites. Just got back into photography about 18 month ago with a canon 300d.

Anybody who's seen Guys and Dolls knows this!!
yeah, that's right. I like musicals. Anybody got a problem with that?
Another one of my hobbies is New Testament textual criticism. If anyone wants to chat about it some time, let me know! We can start with the Gospel of Judas.
and finally, I program for a living, like everybody else. My speciality is web sites.

IMHO, stay-at-home moms and dads are one thing the world could use a lot more of (along with more doughnut shops.)

During the day I work as a corporate travel agent. I also have a new reptile addiction. Currently have one crested gecko, one striped california kingsnake and one miami phase cornsnake. My roommate has 10snakes total now. Two kingsnakes, five cornsnakes, two trans-pecos rat snakes and one nelson's milksnake.
That all helps feed my photography addiction though...they are great (although sometimes tough) to photograph.

Wow - your username, which I pronounce "does-meth", always led me to believe you ran a meth lab.
...in case that's true, don't look now but there is a federal agent only a few posts away! |
Naaa, If I done that sorta stuff I could afford the 5D I want and another "L" glass. No need to worry about Federal Agents, they can't find 2/3 of the people they look for anyway.

To customs officials, I'm a tourist, at home a farmer, to people without horses a riding instructor, a photographer to poets, a poet to photographers and those who can sit still for a while without complaining about something, an editor to those with much ambition and empty wallets, a student (or a bur, I'm not sure which) to those I admire, an idiot to my accountant, an unmanageable liability to the bureaucrat and a bum to my mother and - to myself, a temporary phenomenon without any profitable skill.

If everybody would quit instead of working for A-Holes, there would be no more A-Holes left in management positions.
