MK helped me out a couple of time with my submissions, I felt like such a pest and she went way beyond the call of duty. Hope she stick arounds anyways.

Sorry to hear you are leaving the SC MK... you will be greatly missed.

As someone previously stated, you truly are a "Straight shooter", and certainly did not have any problems in expressing your views in a composed and well reasoned manner.

I would strongly support the nomination of Neil Shapiro to the open position of SC member.... and should the SC wish to increase the number of qualified members on their council, I would also nominate Bear_Music.

MK is a great person, just like the rest of the SC. She's served DPC well and I'll add my thanks to the rest for a job well done.

I'm sorry to see MK leave the SC, frankly. I've always appreciated her gruff, down-to-earth, say-it-like-it-is approach :-) MK, thanks for all the hard work!

mk makes me laugh often, I sure hope she doesn't give up photography, or at least sticks around these forums. I think maybe she was drunk when she resigned, so we shouldn't jump the gun here.

Anyway, SC is a crappy job. I'd quit too. I sure can't blame her. One of my favourite things to do when I'm bored is give SC a hard time.

I'm going to take this time to offer food for thought.

Every single member of the SC is a living, breathing member of this community. Every time someone yells, screams, calls names...there's a person at the other end of that spiffy SC icon.

Just think about that BEFORE you fire off a hostile note. Think about that before you start a "why did X happen thread". Consider that ALL our actions have an impact on the world around us and this community.

I for one regret the loss of a very, very valuable member of the community.

mk helped me out on my first DQ going above and beyond what she had to do and i truly appreciated that effort. i'm sorry to see her leave just like everyone else but her priorities in life should always take precedence over all of this.

i agree with blemt about cause and effect. maybe it's time we all think about this before we fire off those posts.

um, i really don't intend any offense here.

mk is a friend of mine and i will miss working with her on the sc.

that said, i'm sure she is still reading this thread and i think volunteering to be on the SC in the same breath as regretting her departure kind of cheapens the sentiment.

I disagree. Saying we love you but need someone to fill some very empty shoes doesn't seem uncaring or cavalier to me at all.

Maybe I'm a hard ass.

I'm with muckpond. Enough is enough.

If, or when, a thread begins stating that the SC is looking for people, that would be the time to start nominating yourself or others for a position.. but when someone leaves it, don't go *assuming* that it needs to be filled.

What a slap in the face to one of the hardest working SC members *I* knew.

Yeah sad to see mk go....

Always was fast to step in if something was getting out of hand...

Thankyou and all the other continuing SC members for the time and effort you put in.

All SC members appears to put a lot of time and effort into dpc but in reality its probably only a huge amount of time and effort required. ;P
