| I have had the subject question in mind over the past few weeks when I was hearing about my makup artist possibly joining a union. The thought, perhaps even the illusion, of stable work breezed through my mind as the idea piqued my interest. I did a search through the various engines, yet found nothing that said anything about a union for photographers. Is there such a thing? |

I.A.T.S.E Local #600, Hollywood, CA. for both still and motion picture.
Like most unions in Hollyweird, very hard to get in.
Good Luck.
by the way the synonym above stands for International Alliance Theatrical Stage Employees.

Ok, thanks. Please forgive my ignorance, but I'm guessing that this is just for local Hollywood photographers?
I did some more digging and came up with the NFPA, but their website is no longer active... I have no idea if they are around anymore or not. I have joined the NPPA, but I wouldn't really consider it a union, at least not by the definition of what a union is to me. Thank you though. |
