I saw these photos a little while back, and thought some of you might find this interesting.
Make sure you allow the pictures to load fully so that you see the captions when you hover over the photos.

Edit: oops, there's the link!

...Wow, hard to put into words. My heart goes out to them.

Phewww! Don't know what to say. Lost all the fingers on my left hand a couple of years ago to a aortic, circulation-blocking bloodclot that the doctors didn't find in time! . Hence, why I don't feel sorry for myself. Sooooooo much turmoil out there in this world. This site bought tears to my eyes. Makes me so damned thankful for what "little inconveniences" I suffer.
Thanks for sharing this. I have passed it on to many friends...

It doesn't really seem appropriate to say "great pictures" when they are of such a "disturbing" subject.
But they are really good.

Very moving, but hard to read due to the format.

Intense photography. Heck of a photo essay. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Bobster. I know that the BBC has been running some programmes on this recently and also detail the contamination in Wales. Anyone using electricity should know its value and prevent its waste.

Another link of photos from Chernobyl... this time with an audio commentary from the photographer.
Make sure you press play after the introduction, and make sure you watch the whole thing (don't close it down when you see the 2 lines of text). Have some tissues handy, it's moving.
