Those are at opposite ends of the spectrum. For sports, go for the 30D with its 5 fps frame rate (unless you can afford the 1D Mark IIn, which is a killer sports camera) and for landscapes, go for the 5D with its full frame sensor. |
The 5D has six "hidden" AF points, and may be good for sports because of that. On a 300D, I miss-focused on a lot of shots becasue of the lack of AI servo and relatively poor focusing ability of the 300D (indoor basketball, ISO 1600, couldn't use sports mode)
You'll have to decide whether the beter focusing of the 5D or the 2fps higher frame rate of the 20D/30D is more important. This will probably depend on what sports you will shoot, and the available light.
And, yea, if I could afford it, I'd also buy a 1D MIIn |
