Dang, I hate when this happens. It seems like my laptop now chooses to absolutely drag when loading either bridge, photos in bridge or when pulling then into CS2 or CS2. I'm wondering what the first remedy would be.

I'm highly doubtful I have spy or adware that is slowing me down. I keep pretty close tabs on that and rarely venture out into the great internet unknown.

For example, at this moment, I'm not telling the computer to be doing anything hard, but currently it's churning away at 100% CPU with 765 MB (of 1 GB) of RAM. My process list seems to be fairly long, but there are no giant programs out there except:

Bridge 81,744K
IEXPLORE.EXE 60,000K
Photoshop 185,888K

There are probably 30 other processes running, but none is more than about 15,000K.

Troubleshooting tips?

Is the PS mem usage without a photo open or with?

Are you loading the images form CF or HD? I've noticed that the Bridge/CS2 combo lag a lot when I load an image from my CF card.

Dr...both my CS2 and Elements are dragging also. Haven't figured out why yet.

Everyone's Photoshop is lagging, its a conspiracy engineered by the "Anti-Post-Processing Cult"!!!
