I am in the process of designing our wedding album and I was wondering if any of you have used AsukaBook and what your experience with it. Did you like it? How was the book quality? the photo quality? etc. Input will be greatly appreciated!

I've seen the work of AsukaBook before, and it's top quality. I believe that they provide PS templates for you to use to do the layout, if I recall.

They do but I have no idea where to start as far as designing it cause I've never done it before. It's a bit intimidating. Any examples I can see? Of any coffee table books, not just asuka.

yes, it can be, but, you've got time on your side. not like you have a crazed out client breathing down your neck to produce something ;-)

i just showed this to the new husband and wife, and they thought it was so over the top that they're planning on order multiple copies. coffee table book. it's 9x12 hardback. i'm using mypublisher.

even though i used a mix of ps and fotofusion to do the layout, i NEVER use anyone's templates. i design all my pages as whole-page, full-sized jpgs.

good luck, have fun, and don't stress over it!

Oh Skip, what a great album!

I love the first shot with the bride posing with the tow truck... its sooooo Chesterfield County. :)

Seriously, great work. The Father of the Bride looks like he could be a portrait study himself.

I'm still looking for someone to mentor me and let me shoot second at a few weddings to build a portfolio. I'm starting to see that getting the shots is only half the art... the layout and design is where the photog's real artistic talent shines. :)
