... is not as easy as I thought. My first problem is that I need to get myself to keep both eyes open when shooting as zoomed in I couldn't track the ball. Any other 'top' tips for shooting football etc?

I shot little league American style football today for the first time, very similar (photography wise). Knowing a lot about the sport was my only saving grace. I either followed the ball or I'd kind of follow one of the better players and wait for them to do something cool.

Try practicing at lacrosse games, where it's really hard to follow the ball because it's so tiny and usually in a stick. You get better at following it after a while, and soccer games seem much easier. |
