Any clue what the difference between the Graphire3 and Graphire4 is?

Sigh.... I suppose I probably need one of those, huh? Gotta spend the refund money on something, right? :-) |

The 3 is on sale & the 4 isn't? lol Just newer model I'd guess, stats look the same on them.

The 4 looks like it has some buttons on the top of the tablet, but not sure what they are for (which means I don't need them). Thanks for the heads up... probably gonna pick-up one although in white. :)

Do you love it?? I'm debating on whether or not to add a 100mm 2.8 to my order before hitting submitt.

Or you could get it here for 49.95 or less if the box is opened.

Are those things worth it if you don't do much spot editing? |

ABSOLUTELY. It take a bit to get used to, but once you get the knack of it, it's sooo easy to use.. I really got a feel for it when we were doing the Katrina retouching... it was a life saver for that project. |

Oh, and throw in a 100/2.8 for me while you're at it! =] |

I bit the bullet - ordered the Wacom tablet, 100mm/2.8, and lens hood. Another wad of cash to B&H! I hope my kids understand where their inheritance went!

Dang, for spot editing it can't be beat, I have the Intuous2 same size and paid $200. |

While this is an attractive price, my graphic arts friends caution that the Grafire is nowhere near as precise as ihe Intuos (by the same company) and that the Grafire's pen wears out quite rapidly under heavy/frequent use. Replacement pens are 30 bucks a pop :-(
I want a graphics tablet badly, but I'm waiting until I can afford an Intuos.

But this one is cheap enough that you could play with it and learn to use it while you save for the Intuos. :P

I was just thinking the same thing - I'd rather give it a try and the price seems about right to do that. If I really, really like it, I'll wear it out then get the good one. |

Well I ordered a white one. ALways wanted to try one and since they are relatively cheap and you have to start somewhere, I am going to try. Thanks for the heads up.

Just ordered mine. Went with the blue one. Now I just need someone to teach me how to use it once it gets here. :-) |

I'm blaming it all on Cindi. Feel free to do the same. She's the one who brought it up in the first place... :-)
