Just wanted to let everyone here know that I'm selling a Tamron 28-75 on ebay. If you win, and you are a forum member, I'll hook you up. Just send a message after the auction ends and let me know you saw it on here and I'll give you free shipping.

What is your reserve price?

Right now it's at $300, but I may lower it soon depending on how much bidding picks up closer to the auction's end.

The ebay auction says because I want a wider lens. Which I do eventually, but that's not where the money is going. I recently sold a set of golf clubs, paintball gun, and some other personal items on ebay to raise up some money for next semester. I'm two semesters away from graduating, and trying to stretch the money out. Then maybe after I graduate I'll be able to get some new golf clubs and more lenses. But the easy story for ebay was to just say I wanted a wider lense.

Hey Casey, I sold many items on eBay, including lenses of course, my advice to you if you don't get your reserve price (my guess is you won't), is to relist it with a starting price of $0.99 with no reserve, and you will get more than you expect.

People on eBay tend to bid on items that they think are bargains, but as more people bid, the price increases and then some of the people who originally thought they were getting an item half price will get into the bidding war mentality and will refuse to let go .. Trust me on this and you will see, I sold used lenses for more than I paid for new, and I once paid so much for a monitor just because I got pissed off by another bidder.

Anyway, sorry to see you lose that lens, I own one of them and I will not trade it for anything ..

Thanks for the tip! If it doesn't sell I'll keep that in mind when I re-list it. There's a pretty good bit of interest in it, with currently 35 people who have it on their watch list.

I hate to see it go. I haven't gotten to there yet, but I may get to the point where I have to tell my rebel xt and other lenses bye for a little while. At least until I graudate. That.... will be a sad day.

I know the feeling Casey, but cheer up, your whole future is still ahead of you, what's important now is your education, cause it will open up all the doors for you, and you will be able to replace the equipments you're selling in no time .. Good luck man ..
