This is the guy from my Candid entry doing a lottery scratch-off, just as the other guy ripped up a losing lottery ticket. I was just curious if I'd entered that image....would anybody have picked any of that information up or understood the shot without a leading title?

I would have missed it. It's hard to tell what they're doing, although not a badly captured shot by any means.
I think you definitely made the right choice for your entry. In fact, I hadn't looked at any of the entries in Candid, and didn't read your caption below about which one was your actual entry, but when I saw the 'Casual Beer' pic, I was going to say that it would've been an excellent challenge entry. So, nicely done!

The actual entry is far more "immediate" as far as viewer recognition goes. You made the right choice, and had a decent finish to boot.

That's pretty unanimous. I thought it was a cool and telling moment that fitted the pair of guys perfectly. Best I could do.
