I have uploaded 4 images to my port. They were taken with the 60 mm macro at 1:1 focus and are of the same glass orbs already in my port., but quite different pics. This is the kind of photography I really enjoy. They are all 100% crops. All have the same processing - conversion from RAW to .tif; default profile for 20D - ISO 3200/fine for Neat Image, then 100% crop, no levels, contrast +12, sat + 20, resize, sharpen 10, save for web.

The specs and blurriness are from the glass (as in shot through the colored/textured outer glass to focus on the center of the orb or actual specs/dust/defects in the orb glass itself) and not sensor dust or oversharpening.

Really just trying to get a feel for the opinion of this type/style of pic...

I am particularly fond of the second image, and left you a short comment.

I usually don't care too much for abstracts, but #2 and #4 are really awesome. Intriguing stuff you've got there.

Edit to say that what sets #2 and #4 apart is that there is *some* detail in the image which is sharply focused. #1 and #3 lack that and that's what turned me off upon viewing those... So I guess my preference is that at least something be in sharp focus.

Being so very abstract, each one by itself and on its own wouldn't do anything for me. However, I can easily imagine them looking good as a framed set.

Wow very abstract, I really like #4. You defiantly have something different here.

I agree, the 2nd and 4th shots grab me the most. You have some really neat colors and very neat abstracts here!

You do great work with that glass. Left you a couple of comments.

I like the 2nd best, followed by the 4th. Great work.
