Oh my heck, that was the laugh I needed this morning. Good one, Art. |

My wife has a solution that works for both the braless and the pocketless.

I often shove my lens cap down my bra whilst I'm shooting (which occasionally leads to an odd look when I forget myself and delve back down in there to retrieve it) but I don't seem to get too much dust in mine!!!!!
It's perhaps not a solution for everyone!
And sometimes I do just use a regular pocket!

Oops, didn't notice Laurie's reply above - way to go girl, glad I'm not the only one!
I did try and concentrate a bit more, on my recent trip to India, not to retrieve the thing (or put it in there in the first place) when any locals who might have been shocked were watching!

That's what I do, too - with the outside of the cap against my skin, does THAT help? :-) |
now I'm gonna start buying used lens caps from ebay to feed my fetish. ;) |

I've had an idea for a while; and this thread prompted me to do it. Sorry if it makes anyone cringe.
I've modded my camera with some velcro so I can stick my lense cap on the side.
Seems to work OK; so far. |

We're sorry to be so stupid, Mr. Music.
Sheesh. |
I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way, really! Looking back, I can see that sounds pretty snide... Hell, it took me a BUNCH of filthy lens caps before I learned my lesson. I was actually trying to poke fun at how long 've been doing this, but the emphasis didn't come out right :-(

Thanks, Bear. I'll prolly always think of this thread everytime I pocket a cap, because I just haven't figured out a system that works for me yet.
It's a good point, though, about things "we" do subconsciously that "hurt" our photos.

I hope the women using the bra technique aren't wearing tight tops or sweaters while doing so, somebody might think you have elephantitus of the arreola, or something. :-) |

Damn lens caps are getting more action than me.... good grief.
*Trying to be good in this life, so I can come back as a lens cap.*
Edit: hope I don't get stuck inside Nobody's dirty pocket.

Given the way Nobody's studio entry is doing, Nobody's lens cap may not come off the lens ever again.

If you had tucked the lens cap inside a bra, your entry would have been doing better. Which might explain why mine is tanking too.

Don't count on it. Mine was tucked inside my swimsuit top and my entry is tanking horribly! |

I should tuck mine in my bra... with the way they make all these nifty "shaped" bras these days, I have enough room in there for lens caps, car keys, possibly a can of coke or two...
As it is, I usually stick it in the waistband of my shorts. |
