That's right! .............. Exclusive DPC Photography Exhibitions** are currently underway!.............. They are FREE to view. FREE to vote on*. FREE to comment on.

This week sees *** 3 *** Exhibitions currently available for viewing. Each Exhibition showcases a specific theme. Here are the current Exhibitions available FREE for you to view:

Chrome Challenge Exhibition

Candid III Challenge Exhibition

Color Studio Portrait II Challenge Exhibition

Viewers of these Exhibitions will also receive a FREE 'Judging Hat', FREE 'Voting Scale' and FREE 'Comment Tool' upon entry. This is your once in a lifetime opportunity to play Judge of a MAJOR Photography Exhibit. All the photographs you view have been submitted to the Exhibition by professionals and amateurs alike. MOST of them REALLY like photography. MOST of them want to IMPROVE their photography. MOST of them want FEEDBACK on their photographs. SOME of them even have a unique STYLE. ALL of them want YOUR VOTE! It will be up to YOU to Judge all the photographs you view in the particular Exhibit and SCORE them on a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being 'bad', 10 being 'good'. Remember at all times that you are in a SPECIFICALLY THEMED Exhibition, so make your judgments with the THEME in mind as WELL as the photography.

If you like photography, take a look at these EXCLUSIVE DPC Challenges, err, Contests, err, .... Exhibitions!

A little more about the current Exhibitions

The Chrome Challenge Exhibition

This Challenge, err, Exhibition, is all about METAL, specifically CHROME. Metal can look GREAT in a photograph, however it is not easy TO photograph. Take a look at this Exhibition to see how difficult it is. Also look at how creative photography can be using Chrome as the main subject. You will also learn what TO do and what NOT to do, should you ever have to or want to, photograph CHROME or METAL.

The Candid III Challenge Exhibition

This Challenge, err, Exhibition is all about the photographic classic: candids. Ever since the beginning of photography, where the ability to permanently capture a 'candid moment' was born, some of the best photographs ever taken were candids. View this Exhibition to see how far candids have come, how difficult they are and judge for yourself what is and is not, a true candid.

A note on this type of photography: in this age and especially this medium (the internet), candid can also be viewed as an invasion of privacy, especially when the person(s) being photographed is unaware they were photographed, and also the location(s) the photograph of them ends up, in this case, on an internet photography contest site, err, Exhibition. As photographer AND as viewer, sometimes YOU have to make a moral and ethical 'call'.

The Color Studio Portrait II Challenge Exhibition ---- * DPC Member Only Exhibition *

This Challenge, err, Exhibition is all about the classic Studio Portrait. You think these are easy? Come and take a look inside THIS Exhibition and see some of the Masters at work. See what TO do and what NOT to do. See how difficult it is to take a photograph of a person in a studio like environment IN color. Aside from weddings, this is likely the second most colloquial 'use' of photographers in society as we know it.

A side note on this particular Challenge, err, Exhibition: ...this Challenge, err, Exhibition is more REFINED than the first two Exhibitions mentioned above, as only DPC Members are allowed to submit photographs AND vote in this Exhibition. This sets it apart from the two Exhibitions mentioned above. It IS more exclusive and generally involves the more serious photographers or photography enthusiasts.

Viewers registered with DPC still gain entry INTO the Exhibition and are still able to make observations, comments and learn from the photographs in this Exhibition.

DPC History will be made at the above Challenges Exhibitions

For those who are not interested in the Challenges Exhibitions, viewing the photographs, voting, commenting, helping others, getting better yourself, learning or contributing something to DPC, there is a Forum area where you can lurk, stand on a soap-box or generally try to sway Members and Registered Users of DPC away from the Exhibitions and photography itself. Please keep in mind that this Forum area was created primarily to allow more expansive discussion on aspects of DPC, the Challenges, err, Exhibitions and photography. The DPC Forums (and indeed the Exhibitions) are not a 'live journal', nor is DPC owned by any such entity.

**DPC, DPC Exhibitions and all 'content' encountered during the DPC Experience, is NOT contained within a protected little bubble. It is ON the internet. These Exhibitions are unlike those of old: private, little groups of enthusiasts, viewing, voting, judging, commenting and remarking on photographs discreetly amongst themselves in a little room, generally, out of the public eye. The internet is a whole new animal - travel carefully.
