I think I'm going to start working on a printed portfolio ... just in case the opportunity presents itself. I have a couple questions. I tried a search of the forums, but it was fruitless:
1 - is 8x10 prints accepted as standard .... or is that newbie city? to be totally honest, knowing that this portfolio would be for "just in case", could I get away with 5x7's, or would I get laughed at by someone in the biz?
2 - do i need a model release on all images in my portfolio even though I don't intend to sell those images (although, they would classify as "advertising" I guess)?
3 - is there a "standard" material (leather, zipper, case, etc)?

1. 8x10 is standard. I'd stay away from smaller sizes.
2. No. You don't need model releases for portfolio stuff.
3. Just as long as it looks nice, material is not a major concern.

Im anyone! I use 8x10's. I don't think you need a model release for portfolio images. Last for my "Book" I use a big portfolio case that has dual sided plastic covered pages with a zipper and I think its Faux leather!
