It was great to win my first ribbon in the JUMP challenge. I had a few shots to choose from and would like some comments if possible on some of my other choices.

I love taking photos at Aussie Rules Football games. I lug around my Sigma/Bigma 50-500mm, but on this occasion tried out the Sigma 70-200 with the 2x teleconverter. I had a dream as a teenager to be a sports photographer. (I ended up as a minister, no regrets, but I am enjoying my photography as well).

Here was the ribbon winner:

Here was what would have been my second choice:

Here are a couple of others..

And an oldie, but a goodie...

Every one of them are great. Nice use of ISO and SS and great colors. Those guys can jump! Great Job!

I like your ribbon winner and the oldie the best.

these are all really nice. I love the pop to your colors. I think your ribbon winner is great and the clear choice for the challenge. I love the 'ballerinas' shot. The quirky body positions are awesome. I don't think it would have done as well in the Jump challenge, but it is a great image on its own.

I think your ribbon winner was the best. It has a little more "wow" factor than the other shots, although I would guess that any of those would have made top 10. I didn't get a chance to vote on this challenge, but I did go through and look at the photos. When I saw your entry, I immediately thought "this is a top 10--possibly a ribbon". Had I voted I would have given it a 7 or 8, and I see I'm not alone in that thinking! Well done. If you are a minister, you definitely chose the right profession. But you probably would have done quite well as a sports photographer, based on these. Take care, and keep shooting.
