Hey folks. I've tried everything I am aware of to clean up my mirror and sensor to remove small blemishes from the images. I even bought a kit to help in the effort.
To date this has been a losing battle. Does anyone have any suggestions or at last resort, recommendations to have it professionally done?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. |

I have the cleaning kit mentioned. Still have dust and other "impurities".

I have the Copperhill System and find it works great. When I first got it - it took 5 cleanings to remove all the dust off my sensor. Now, I clean my sensor at the first hint of dust and one time usually does it.
If you have tried the system but did not try repeating the cleaning more than once - using a fresh pad each time - then I would go back to that. Using a fresh pad and following the instructions that come with the Copperhill System is very important!

Just FYI...
My 10D had several tiny defects (like bubbles) in the glass of the high-pass filter that covers the sensor. In images these defects looked much like sensor dust, but no amount of sensor cleaning would remove them. I sent it in for service and Canon replaced the sensor and filter at no charge to me. I haven't had any problems with the camera since then.

I sent my Nikon D70 off to get cleaned when it got the point I couldn't get it done myself. It cost about $25 and it now is working great. |

And I forgot, the turnaround was about two weeks total. |
