I've got an entry for Colour Portrait but want to make sure the editing I've done is legal.
I'm just going to make up an example. If I had a picture of someone's hands and there was nail polish chipped off and I just cloned some red nailpolish onto the nail would that be okay? Also if she had a small cut on her finger would I be able to clone that out too?

yes that's alright as it doesn't seem to constitute a "major" element ;)

Cloning a cut out would not be a problem, provided it is small.

Changing the color of the nail to red also would not be a problem unless doing so removed detail the SC determined to be important to the image.
