I am a photoholic; it̢۪s been 2 hours since my last photograph.

It̢۪s been a struggle over the last few years. 2 years ago I could take a photograph and it could be days before I took another. Now as soon as I have the camera in my hands I can̢۪t put it down. I just have to keep pressing that shutter. Even when I don̢۪t have a camera in my hands I am thinking about taking pictures.

Yesterday I was at a night club watching a gorgeous dancer perform an erotic routine, and the first thing that I thought of was how I could take a shot which was artistic, and clean whilst still oozed the sexuallity on display. 2 years ago that would not have been my first thought.

I went to see a specialist last year and explained my problem, lack of focus, everything seeming blurry, and a desire for coloured ribbons. He recommended changing my routine and purchasing a 20D with some decent lenses. I took his advice; unfortunately I am still a photoholic only I now have a more acute syndrome which requires me spending more and more money to maintain my habit. The more I spend the more money I need to spend to fuel the habit. Another lens here a flash gun there. Tripod, head, the problems just get worse.

So I am standing in front of you all today to take the first step, I am a photoholic

And long may it continueâ€Â¦..

Perhaps you need a hobby, dear? May I recommend drinking - it's a fine pastime, tested by centuries of dedicated followers. Taken properly, it is quite debilitating in the fingers/brain area and will sufficiently shut down any unwanted impulses to creativity or any dreams of becoming a good photographer. There are a few starter kits involved. I recommend by-passing the so called 'Lite' versions and proceed straight to those appropriately called 'Spirits'.

I know the felling skiprow as soon as you get your new camera the first thing you do is take a photo of your tv as you are always in your living room when you break out the camera.

Mission 1 is to see how fast the shutter can go before the tv starts to flicker LOL :)
