I would just like to thank the folks in the DPC chat room for helping me make a decision last night on which DSLR to get. John S., Shutterpug, EvilK., Di, Buzzrock and the rest of you were a great help.
I opted for the Nikon D50 with 2 lenses, 1GB card, card reader, 2 batteries/charger, 2 UV filters, camera bag, remote, 3 year extended service plan and tripod for $1150. It was the best deal I could find locally.
For what it's worth, I tried the Canon Rebel XT and it had such a small body that it didn't fit my hands.
Now to get out and start shooting! Thanks again for the advice! |
