Hello,

I was checking out the shots from Something New II and I see that many of the top finishers had nothing to do with "Something New".

I know you can twist any title or shot around to shoehorn it into something new, but how do you think this weeks "Something New" will score with DNMC?

Seems in the last few years (by looking back at challenges) you can see that DPC has become "tighter" on the votes and commnets. Look at the top finishers from something new II and let me know how you would vote today on these images.

Thanks

This was a whole different challenge ;)

Just had a nice, um, discussion with another dpc'er about the difference between playTIME and playTHING, did not seem to make any difference to voters, though they are plainly different to me. Think it will be the same as before, maybe not so blatantly outside of "new", but still shoehorned in.

Cannot help but wonder why so many complained about the 2 second accidents and let so many others - just as plainly not meeting the challenge - just go on by?

Okay, maybe I should have said something in rant instead of here, but to me, I see no big difference between shoehorning (stretching that) and ignoring the challenge "suggestion".

So, as I have to live with myself first, I will do my best to actually take a photo of something NEW to this world, and not try to get anyone else to believe that my shot is good because it is new to them, as every shot is, the first time you see it!
