Hi
I just wanted to know in Photoshop ,when we create a new layer and when weant to merge it with background layer. You have two options , opacity and fill. What is difference bewteen them?
Second quetion, is not related to above one.
Some time when i use my PC this problem occurs, Menu box of software become invisibe. and eg if i click on File in Internet Explorer than instead of viewing options Open, New,Save As etc , i just see blank box and if i move my mouse down than New option will be highlighted if further down, Save AS will be highlighted but all others will be invisible |

Opacity= how "clear" you want the layer to be. If you want to be able to see through the new layer, lower the opacity. If you want the new layer to cover the old layer fully, make it fully opaque.
Fill=What you want in the layer, such as solid color, gradient fill, or a pattern. Not the same as the paint bucket, you can make a fill layer, then go back later to adjust the settings without deleting all your changes to other parts of the image. |

The second is a redraw issue -- the system isn't drawing the screen quick enough. This could be anything from too little memory (causing some of the code needed to be swapped out) to slow video card.
