I have found out about a local card company that are looking for new (specifically local) contributing artists. Although they do not currently have a photography range, they are considering it atm, and it has been suggested that I send a selection of photos for consideration. However, because they don't yet have any photos, there's no precedent for me to see, and I'm not sure which would photos would be most appropriate. I've sorted through and found about 15 that i think may be worth sending...I'd really appreciate some input.

Also, I was planning to send them at a proof type size (they like to receive by email rather than physical work)....900*600ish with a plain white border. Would this be the right kinda format to send them in?

Thanks for any advice

Kirsty

Given that there is no precedent, this gives you free reign to set one!

I'd suggest a diverse selection - i.e. some floral, some non-floral, some thematic (e.g. the one with the heart), some generic. That way you can show off the range of your work.

A white border sounds sensible to me. The only alternative I'd offer is adding a very thin black border on the inside edge of the white border.

Good luck with it!
