My husband and I are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary this week. Just to be nice and sweet, he gave me my anniversary present early - $ for a lens! Just a wee bit of $.
I ordered the lense yesterday, and it's slated for delivery tomorrow. Which lens, do you ask?
Just this sweet lens that I've been drooling over for months.
Nikon USA
Zoom Telephoto AF VR Zoom Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8D G-AFS ED-IF Autofocus Lens (Vibration Reduction) - Black
I have such a sweet, romantic husband. Forget flowers, choclates or candlelight dinners. This lens is the sweetest thing he could have done, so I'm bragging about him.
I'm also serving notice to the rest of the site, that I've joined the "big boys."

Oh now he needs to take you on a week long cruise for the anniversary and to test the lens ;)

Thanks - It is a major accomplishment and was a struggle for more of those years than I wish to remember. The important part is that we've worked through those very difficult times together and have a relationship now that is choice.
Now I'll use that lens as a symbol of a dream achieved - and even better days to come.

Wonder if my wife would consider that for me?
Maybe if I gave it to her and said that she can use it any time she likes? Could work except she has a Fuji. Mmmmm
