Well I almost made it, that is saved enough for a new 5D. I had saved up just short of the £1600, and with a birthday looming I was all set when...... yes the car has a fault with the gas injectors and needs £1000 of work!
So maybe for Christmas ;-(

That sucks Keith. Well if it´s any consolation, you take better pictures with your "ancient" 10D than most people with a 5D :P

Saving for camera equipment... why do that? Isn't that why they invented credit cards?

Think of is this way, at least you didn't buy the 5d a week ago, and then have to sell a lens to fix your car...

| Blech. I feel your pain. This happened to me twice when I was saving up for my 300D... First someone jacked up my door and burgled my car... Then my A/C went out..... grrrrrr.... It's no fun. Sorry. |

Hey Keith,
Maybe not the credit card idea (sorry JayWalk), but many places do 0% finance for 6-12 months... chip away at it every month... that's how my new laptop is gonna be paid for....

| Buy the 5D. Ride the bus until the $300 rebate comes back from Canon. :-) |
