OK, I went back to the drawing board and completely re-vamped my potential business card. What do you guys think of this one? Please be as brutally honest as you like.

Hmmmm - is this graphic design? On one hand I like the black/blue theme, yet on the other, it doesn't have the punch that it could. Is subtle best? Hmmm - I wonder. I like the film traveling back into the card and the up and down of the lettering. What if there was a brighter blue or gray in the lettering, or perhaps as an outline?

(I replied to the pic page too)

You might think about making the blue a tad brighter... kinda hard to see right now.... (maybe just my moniter) perhaps lighter at the "front" fading to darker as you go to the "back"... not sure if I like the contrast of the white lettering with everything so dark....like the concept... nice work

Personally, I find it much too dark. If you want to have quick impact, blue and black has got to be one of the worst combonations. Other than the colors, I think the design is very nice. I might move your name and info up just a tad to have even spacing between your company name and graphic. Just a few thoughts. Cheers

Hope you don't mind but I could say it in a design better than I could explain. Here is what I think would look better, just my opinion. Keep in mind your card looks good but I personally don't like a Vertical Business card and it's very hard to read the web address vertically. And I think you web address should stand out more.

What about this?

I like the basic concept. I like the interlocked DD and the film. Particularly the 3D depth and feel it gives. I do not care for way the contact info or the web domain is done. They feel very flat....and kinda shatter the 3D feel you had going.

PS - I`d write more but it`s late and I am posting this from my cell phone.

Thanks for the advice guys... the template I'm using is CMYK color which makes all the blues very bland. I agree and want to use a "true blue" #0000ff in RGB colorspace. Can anyone give me some advice on how to get a "bluer" blue in a CMYK color profile?

I like southern gentlemans version better. I like the interlocking D's, but it might look better if both words were written horizontally so that it wouldn't have to be so close to the corner.

What I don't like about the vertical card is the way the domain name is written, and the card doesn't seem balanced. I would try placing the contact info all in the lower right corner.
