I took this while out on the street this weekend. I had two options. One, focus on the street and let the pigeon go out of focus. Two, focus on the pigeon and let the street go out of focus. I chose the street to be the focal point. For me, the pigeon adds a lot of interest to the image and the OOF doesn't really bother me. I'd like to know the opinions of others. Keep it, or crop it out.
Thanks

Love the lighting, tones and rendition, here. For me, the pigeon is not a point of interest....it's not as interesting a feature in the image as the leading lines if the pavement, and the detail in the background....Purely subjective, but for me..lose the bird ! |

I 2nd that, love the leading lines, lose the bird, and perhaps a differnt time of day when the sky at the back is not so bright. |

i agree lose the bird, but maybe play with brightness/contrast here. i see a lot of potential for a good low-key shot... with lots of contrast and the places where the sun hits coming out with nice highlights.

left a comment. I like the leading lines, how the curb leads to the mass of activity at the top. But it looks a bit soft. What settings? |

Well it seems unanimous, lose the bird!
I appreciate the feedback. |
