Was using my Sony 717 at work the other day, started flickering lines across the lcd screen, lines on the images. Took the battery/memory card out and replaced them and it stopped. Today, some of the early shots I took were ok, then it started again. :( Battery? Memory card? or is it broke? :(

Check Sony website and other photo sites. I believe this is a known problem ... but I may be thinking of another model. My wife had a similar probles with her Sony DSC-P200 and Sony fixed it under warranty. |

Here's something else to try: tighten up the screws on the body using a jewelers screwdriver. I started having troubles with my F707 (basically the same camera). It would intermittently say that it couldn't read the memory card. I twisted the case and squeezed it to see if there was a difference. There was and I realized that the body had loosened up. I tightened it up and haven't had trouble since. |

Thanks :)) I'll have a look. The camera's done a lot of work in the time I've had it! |
