While hiking near the Royal Gorge last week, my daughter found this grand rock. She screamed bloody murder when she saw it. I thought she got bit by a rattler. Thought you might enjoy it too.

Unbelievable! Are you sure it is natural and not some kind of prop for the hikers ?!?!!?!

Edit:
I wonder if this rock would have scored well in the "candid" challenge!?!

we were bush wacking and the nearest trail was miles from the rock, so chances are slim that this rock has been seen by to many folks. I've been hiking in this area since 1972 and didn't see before.

What is it with kids wanting to put their fingers in fake noses...

Remember the "faces" challenge? It would have been great there too. What is it about this area and rock faces?? Your rock face is the absolute best I've seen, however. Congrats to your daughter for a wonderful find.
(and are the rattlesnakes out already? I had hoped they would sleep in a little longer.)

You'll have to remember where it is in case there is ever a "Personification II" challenge. Looks like your kids had fun with it (and you too)! 8)

Patsy,

The shot was in your back yard. In Temple Canyon, last Saturday. No rattlers yet, but soon. Van

Remember that location! Faces II Blue Ribbon winner.

Great find, great shots.

If you say it's an image of the Virgin Mary, you might get somebody to buy it from you.

Looks more like Marjorie the trash heap from Fraggle Rock
