Here's a little nudge to Drew and Langdon to get going on RSS enabling DPC forums, challenge results, "who's online", etc. It's been requested several times, but falls off the map quite quickly for one reason or another. Probably because most people don't understand the benefits it could bring to the site.

What I would love even more though, is a secure SOAP API which could be use to retrieve scores, challenge descriptions, images, etc. It's features like these that will take DPC from a "Web 1.0" site to the next generation Web 2.0 experience.

Who's with me?

Please explain as why it would be helpful. I've googled RSS but still don't understand. Most RSS feeds are news correct?

I use RSS feeds to see announcements from favorite websites, blog posts, news, recent posts on forum sites, contest titles w/brief descriptions... all sorts of things. :)

Do you see this info on a cell-phone, palm unit, transplanted to another site? All I see is code whenever I click on a RSS button.

The code is what allows the feed to come through.. you paste the code into an RSS Reader and it displays it for you. I see it in my email - which is through Google.

So instead of coming to an individual site all the info is stored in 1 place then?

the code you see when you click the RSS link is a fully expanded XML sheet.
