I was thinking for long time between 5D and 30D and 2000$ difference made the decision :-)
I hope the ISO noise is much less than the Rebel.

Little bit less noise than Rebel at 1600 ISO :-(

The difference is really dramatic at 800, though...

I have weird problem with Exposure compensation.
Push the + - button, turn the dial one stop or two, after release goes back to middle?
How that works ?!!

These are really nice pictures, Kosta! Very clear and the bokeh is nice. I'm getting a 30D, too - it should have come today but Dell shipped it DHL which only delivers here in the San Luis Valley (you've been through here) once a week as it is so rural. Hopefully, I'll receive it early next week.

Can't wait to try it out and see if the same exposure compensation thing happens with mine.

read the f'n manual

Seriously you need to. I just got my 30D on tuesday - there are a few quirks and 20 or so custom functions that can rearrange how it all works.

First, exp comp only works in Av, Tv, and P.
Second, it's adjusted by the rear dial IF the on/off switch is all the way to the LINE. the line turns on the wheel.
third, you don't push any buttons for exp comp. just turn the dial.

i had to send my 30D back. it had a bad focus problem and extremely noisey images. i hope my next one wont have those problems.
