Recently my D70s stopped responding to my attempts to change to any of the focus areas from the center. I assume I must have changed a setting that locks the focus area to the middle, but I don't know what that setting was. Does anybody know what I did?

There's a little toggle switch that says "L" below the D-pad on the back of the camera. Push it away from the L to unlock the focus area selection.

There's a switch to the right of the LCD that slides up and down. Make sure it not on "L"

You are kidding me, that's it? I guess I never really paid any attention to that switch. Thanks for the quick responses, this has been bugging me for a couple weeks.

Heh, yeah, they need a lockout switch for the lockout switch, so you don't accidentally switch IT. :)
