any help would be great to get some ideas. Only idea i have so far is to go crawling in the mud to try and find a frog :)

Head to the local BMX or motocross track maybe? Find a circus with performers? Find somebody to stand on top of a tall building and look down? |

Well any pet would do.. people, cars, bikes, skateboards, snowboards... etc. :)
Just to list a few things for inspiration...
Definitions of jump on the Web:
-move forward by leaps and bounds
-startle: move or jump suddenly, as if in surprise or alarm
-make a sudden physical attack on; "The muggers jumped the woman."
-increase suddenly and significantly; "Prices jumped overnight"
-leap out: be highly noticeable
-enter eagerly into; "He jumped into the game"
-rise in rank or status; "Her novel jumped high on the bestseller list"
-jump from an elevated point; "the parachutist didn't want to jump"
-derail: run off or leave the rails; "the train derailed"
-a sudden and decisive increase; "a jump in attendance"
-an abrupt transition; "a leap from college to the major leagues"
-an abrupt transition from one thing to another
-start (as in a dead battery)
-bypass; "He skipped a row in the text and so the sentence was incomprehensible"
-leap: pass abruptly from one state or topic to another; "leap into fame"; "jump to a conclusion"; "jump from one thing to another"
the act of jumping; propelling yourself off the ground; "he advanced in a series of jumps"; "the jumping was unexpected"
-alternate: go back and forth; swing back and forth between two states or conditions

for advanced editing would a before and after (the jump) diptych be dq'd or allowed?

Diptych would be allowed if you don't use Photoshop to add images. Like this.
