Ok... in another thread..in a time long ago... (ok well it wasn't that far ago).. we had a 30 day challenge... and it was brought up that two of the members (pedro and sonifo) would like a self portrait challenge..
The object of a challenge is to take the photos for the 30 day time frame .. and share with the others... :)

i'm in as a 20 in 20 :)
i have no endurance for the full month :)
i'll start mine 10 days after the 30 in 30 people so i'll finish at the same time :) |

| I think I'd be willing to try something other than self portrait... 30 days is quite some time to have to look at continuous shots of myself.... |

Also....should we 'define' self portrait? Does it need to be of us physically or can it be things about us or important to us?

while i plan to have at least some of me in all the shots, i think it's important that you make this project your own. Try to visualize the end result (web display, single poster print, several 5x7's). Do what's going to make you pleased with your project.

Good idea....I was thinking that this would be a great project for learning to visualize (as you stated) and maybe learning some things about each other. |

Hmmm, I guess I might be up for this. Not very good at Selfportraits so I guess it'll be good practice. Though why one would need practice taking photos of themselves, I'm not really sure. But it will definitely help with my loathing to be in front of the camera...maybe. Or quite possibly make it worse, depending. :-D
I did okay keeping up with 30-day pet portrait so maybe I can make this work too. Although I'm already predicting that I'll miss a day or two. |

If it is a challenge, who will do the voting?
I'am in if I don't forget this before tomorrow!
And for those who do not use USA date system to morrow it is:
05-04-2006 or 2006-04-05. The month has a higher rank than the days :-)
It isn't until fourth of may that we can say 06-05-04, we could use that as the finishing date :-)

there is no voting ... its a challenge for YOU to get the 30 dasy in .. to get 30 photos of yourself... to get the lighting .. and colours right ... etc etc etc
we share the photos so others can help us improve |

self portrait - portraits of yourself... however you do em...
post to an online place so others can see... its up to you whether they're daily posted .. or posted at the end... or posted once a week..
to give others a chance to get in if they want .. lets start this Saturday..(if thats a problem lets hear about it :) ) |
