for fun of course
I seem to remember a talk a long time ago about car mileage and I think it was BradP who had some pretty high mileage, well....
...last weekend (march 25-26) I did the rollover to 200,000 on my 1999 Subaru Outback and after my 800 a mile weekend (to kentucky and back) this weekend I am now at about 201,143. When I bought the car it was a dealer demo so it had some miles on it but very few. Have had minor damage due to an idiot not noticing the person in front of me...err I mean him...hadn't left the intersection before putting the gas pedal down and the passenger side all but taken off by a semi tractor trailor who decided to move over without looking first...(all repaired)
come on BradP I know you're great with cars, what's on your odometer? of course this is open to anyone else too.

| Sabphoto will win over Dansig. There is not alot of areas in Iceland to drive I suspect. At least not 65mph freways that go for thousands of miles. First one to 1 mil miles wins. |

it's miles ;)
but I've seen one meter turn over 3.000.000 km, it was in a 1979 Mercedes Bens 300D that a friend of mine has.. guess it's getting close to 4.000.000 now, as it turned over 3mil in 1996 :)

My 1994 Honda Accord is at just under 156K. My '88 Accord gave up the ghost at 160K. I have my fingers crossed.

| I traded my last car with 215,161 miles on it. Bought it new and had it for 11 years. A Geo Storm of all things! |

I put over 300,000 miles on a VW van; in 3 YEARS! That puppy took me all OVER the USA without a whimper of complaint, albeit at a fairly low average speed :-) It was a 1970 Westphalia Camper conversion.

What made your '88 Accord give up the ghost? I've got an '86 at 110K. Hoping it lasts longer but it's got an oil leak and I get more exhaust under the hood than from the tail pipe. |

In fact Bear that was very same beast that holds my record fro miles too. i had a 1973 J reg camper that had just over 200k on it and i put a further 100k on it and sold it to a guy who sold tea at festivals and he took it to India.. God knows where it is now.. happy memories and those things just didnt stop going.
