Hiya-
I am looking for some continuous lighting in order to improve my photographs as well as video work that I do. I have been looking at softboxes online. I think I'd like to start with 2, 1000 watt boxes. What is the general opinion? Is this a good place to start.
Also, is there a good place to get them on net? I have been looking at Amnova.com. They sell Dynaphos. All the reviews say the lighting is great, but that Amnova's customer service basically stinks. |

Personally, I would go with strobes instead of continuous light. Continuious gets too hot after just a few minutes. Also, I highly recommend AlienBees.com. Reliable, not too expensive, quality lighting. Great customer care.

I would agree - except that he also mentioned doing video work. Strobes won't help with that. Rex's link is a good one. I pretty much always use either B&H or Adorama. |

I would go with Adorama.com rather than B&H, both great stores with similar price but shipping is a lot cheaper at Adorama
