A Photoshop Reference: Essential Adjustment Layers
If you really want to understand color adjustments in image post processing and basic non-destructive editing then Radient Vista's video tutorial titled "A Photoshop Reference: Essential Adjustment Layers" is a great place to go. The video is almost an hour long but you will learn how color adjustments interact with each other and get fundamental instruction on the use of the most commonly used adjustment layers in Photoshop. It is must viewing for newbie and veteran alike.
Someone had mentioned Radient Vista as a good learning site and this video is a perfect example of it.
Just click on the top tutorial at the reference above to get started.

I'll add my voice to the chorus. I've watched several in this series of videos and this guy does an excellent job of teaching the basics of layers, as well as a philosophy of looking at an image and understanding why certain changes are necessary. Very helpful stuff. |

Dang, I just spent a whole quarter of college learning this, which cost money, could have done it hear, quicker, free. |

I just wanted to reitereate that this video is awesome! I sat down and watched it the other night and the guy that does the tutorial does an excellent job! I will be sitting down and watching it again this weekend except with my notebook to take notes.
If you have that "deer in the headlight" look when it comes to curves, levels, etc...this is the video to watch!!!

I agree... although the Photoshop Elements is lacking some of the controls... which means I will probably break down and get CS2.
But great site with all of their videos. |
