True that the lensbaby effect can be done with PS - but really is fun to do it in camera, on the spot and move on. You are correct though in that you wouldn't want all of your shots to have that look. I think it would be an amazing lens at a dance or party with a lot of movement as it enhances that look. I liked trying a portrait with it earlier and even chasing lexi with it. Thing is, like any lens in your kit, you have to decide which shots it would do well and try those - avoid shots that won't work best with that lens.

They list for $150 for the canon mount, not $200 and as I mentioned earlier, I got this one for a bit less, so worth it to me for something different :)

Have you guys tried a similar type of effect, but all done w/ the camera?

Such as:



Of course, I don't think you can move the area of focus around like w/ the lensbaby.

This topic reminds me of the Label Baby Junior - baby episode of Seinfeld.
