I'm looking for some way to reduce noise during post processing. I have the Canon G6 so I occasionally have noise issues. I don't have Photoshop but I do have GIMP but don't use it cause I've never learned how to. I just use the Photostudio5 program that came with my camera and it's worked well for me. But I do need some way to reduce noise. Any ideas?

I use Neat Image. Very good. Never Tried Noise Ninja. The trick to noise reduction is to know when to stop ;-) |

Is there any real difference between the two (besides pricing)? |

There is some discussion regarding the relative merits of these two solutions here:
DPC Discussion
There are likely many other discussions about noise reduction to be found in the forums or Internet at large.

My personal favorite is //www.imagenomic.com - look for the community edition. It's totally free. Works VERY well!
