hi, i was wondering what is the F number of human eye ?
or maybe fixed focal lenght of an human eye ?
i looked through ef50mm and without into some stuff on window and they look practically the same in size, add x1.6 crop factor to that and this would be 80mm, can this be true ? or the f/stop ... when looking in the mirror i would say the standard cheapo aperture of f3.5-5.6 :>

22mm f3.5 at 1 to 800 ISO according to this guy:

I *THINK* I read somewhere that 85mm is approximate. That is why 85mm is the ideal focal length for portraits because it is closest to what the human eye sees.
Again, I think this is true. I am sure I will be corrected if I am wrong :)

| Conclusion: an expensive lense does better than our eye... but our brain ist still miles ahead of photoshop... ;-) |
