The pictures are nice. My fave is the fourth. In the first and third ones it seems to be a bit of blue dominant, IMO.

This lense is my next buy, but don't know when will I have the money... How they feel? Did you detect the problem in the portrait orientation?

Congrats for your new lense.

The lens feels very nice and balanced. I find it just as good in portrait. The "IS" is very nice. The "path through the Dogwood" picture is at 300mm no crop, handheld. I was pleased with it. The blue was from the sun reflecting off the water. I think!

Thanks to everyone for your comments.

Scott,

Congrats on your new lense. I just bought the same lense about two weesk ago and have had a very limited opportunity to use it. But, I found it wonderfully sharp and light. I also bought a tamron 2x which works well with it, if you do not mind manual focus.

Nice photos and I am sure you will get some great use out of the lense.
