Im ordering my 30D kit as follows:
CANON EOS-30D DIGITAL SLR CAMERA
SIGMA 17-70MM DC 2.8-4.5 CANON LENS (I hope this one is worth the extra cash)
SANDISK ULTRA II 2GB CF CARD
CANON RS80N3 REMOTE SWITCH
A friend of mine is traveling to Canada so I could have my kit sent to her while she stays there. Can you tell me of a reliable and unexpensive photo store where I should order? she is going to vancouver

I second that. My few experiences there were excellent.
I think all of their physical locations are only in Ontario, though. But they probably ship to BC.

Leo's Camra Supply in Vancouver, BC, would be my preferred store. They're a well established pro shop with a customer base in the US as well.
As for chains, I'd recommend Lens and Shutter also in Vancouver, the West Broadway location.
Both stores have the 30D in stock. Leo's, typically, has everything.
