I don't have it yet, but will be selling it to upgrade to the 1ds Mark II if I can get a decent price for it.

It has under 4k accuations. Like new in box. $2800/obo, PM if interested.

Just not high enough res for me at this time.

I initially wanted the 1ds Mark II. I made the desiciion to trade my 1d Mark II for the 5d with grip to save money.

After thinking about it, i decided that the 5d wouldn't satisfy my potential client base when most of my competitors are shooting with MF digital backs of at least 22 mp.

SO, I'm biting the bullet and getting one to keep up with the jonses.

...but much closer than 9mp. 17mp will be good enough for most of the product shots.

Designers like to have plenty of crop room.

You haven't got it yet but it has taken 4000 shots? You must have bought it used. So whoever buys it from you will be getting a third-hand copy of a camera that has only been out for a couple of months..... hmmm .. wonder if Canon will honor the warranty?

I'm sure the warranty will be fine. Thanks for your concern. Do you want to buy the 5D?

And what's it matter that the camera has only been out a few months? Would it be better for the warranty if it was a 3 year old camera?

They would ban you over at fremiranda for your behavior on this site...

????? Where was the behavior? It was a question.

Well at least it has a warranty. Is it a USA warranty or an International warranty? Guess that you may not know if you don't have it yet.

Nope, not interested in full-frame right now. My next camera is probably going to be a 1D Mk IIn or a D2X because I want the fps speed for shooting sports. But there will likely be new models available by the time I save up enough money to upgrade. D2X may not be selling as well as Nikon had hoped, they are offering a $500 rebate thru the end of this month.

He wasn't asking a question. I stated the count and condition from the beginning. He made it sound (as usual) that I'm trying to rip someone off.

When I was trying to sell my 20D on here (which I did with no problems at all) he did the same thing.
Posting like that over at FM will get you banned.

Weird! I was just thinking the same thing about Fred Miranda. Someone puts something up for sale...You can ask questions about the item....but to make reference to finding it cheaper somewhere else or anything of the sort will elicit a quick response from whomever is moderating...and they are not nice.... They tell you (I saw it!) You're rude and it's bad ettiquette and to either follow the rules or get out.

I was surprised...but they were very straight forward and didn't put up with it at all. Of course we dont' have a 'buy, sell, trade' format here.....yet....but when/if we do...I hope the same rules will apply. :)

I too would hope that the FM rules would apply here... but I hope we wouldn't be rude about it. Although I understand when folks comment on a seller's price that they don't mean harm, it is in fact a very discourteous thing to do. You wouldn't paste "priced too high" signs over the selling prices at your local car lot; their pricing is their own business, and their customers should be doing their homework. IMO, if you don't like someone's advertised price, you need not respond in the public thread.

ooooh!!! is there a possibility that we may have a 'buy, sell, trade' forum down the road? too cool! I think it would really kick up some traffic over here too! (fingers crossed)

It's certainly been asked for and it has been discussed, and I know it is on the list. With the size of this community, I think it would gain a lot of support as well. Problem is, there are a LOT of other things on the list as well!

Edit: Let's give Brent his thread back! Sorry for the unintentional hijack.
