Please comment on this Feral Cat. I feel I was lucky today to get it. Let me know if I should PS anything in or out.

Went out to capture some "playing" for the challenge but best shot was this cat.

Thanks,

Kenskid

Nice shot, his expression and such are good. I think it might have looked a little more attractive if shot during the day with natural light instead of using a flash, though.

I don't think that's flash; in fact I'm sure it's not. He's coming out of a dark place, with a 300mm lens used. Hard to flash that far :-)

Left a comment. Definately looks like natural lighting to me.

A feral cat I took last week.

You might be right, but it looked like the effect you get using a flash with a fairly dark background, since the background is completely dark, and the cat and leaves look kind of like things do when they're lit with flash.

And I don't know if his lens was at 300mm, but I've had decent luck lighting shots with my 210mm with flash on. Still looks poor with the onboard flash though.

And accept my apoligies if I look at the photo again on my monitor at home and see why it looks like natural light after all :)

Hello, and thanks for the comments.

It is an SB800 Flash in daytime. The black in the background is actually water. The water is about 40 meters in back of the cat.

The DOF is very shallow and the water looks black.

Thanks again,

Kenny

One more bump (I promise) for my Feral Kitty.
